Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Geomatics Sciences, Université Laval

Dr. Brunhel Vambi has approximately fifteen years of experience in tropical forest environmental management, regional development, and local territorial dynamics. From fall 2024 to winter 2026, he coordinated the RIFM Climate Project Y23-24 (RAFM–Université Laval), a three-million-Canadian-dollar initiative funded by Natural Resources Canada and dedicated to training some fifty African leaders in biodiversity conservation, adaptive management, and forest landscape restoration to combat climate change. Now a postdoctoral fellow in geomatics, he is working on the development of a geospatial digital twin for wildfire prevention and management in northern Quebec.
