Digital twin for model forest

As part of Canada's Global Forest Leadership Program, Université Laval has obtained support from Natural Resources Canada for a project entitled "Projet international d'appui à la formation des leaders africains en conservation et restauration des paysages forestiers (LAREPAF)". This project, in partnership with other Canadian and African universities and research centers, aims to train African leaders in biodiversity conservation and ecological restoration in the face of climate change (CC) in model forest landscapes in at least 13 countries in North, West, Central and East Africa.

The Research Chair contributes to this project through its expertise in digital twins. The aim is to develop a digital twin of a model forest that can be used to train tomorrow's leaders.
